Jason is a 1987 graduate of Ashland High School and 1992 graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, IL with a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Business Finance, Economics, and Management. He began investing in single family rehab projects at 18 years old as a way to make extra money for college.
Following college, Jason spent 3 years with Heritage Financial Group, a conglomerate with investment properties ranging from apartment complexes to mobile home communities located throughout the Midwest and Southeastern parts of the U.S. The company purchased large distressed properties, renovated each asset thru added capital and strong management, and built long-term security via cash flow and added equity. Jason was the project manager on several properties during his time with the company.
In 1995, Jason took that experience and started his own investment company, JKR Investment Group Inc. With hundreds of single family and apartment purchases under his belt, he is considered to be one of the foremost experts in the real estate investment community investing primarily in distressed foreclosure properties. As one of the first investors to control the process from lead generation to resale, Jason has spoken in front of several investment groups all over the Midwest. At the peak of the market in 2005, his company was rehabbing five properties at a time.
In 2002, he created JKR & Associates Inc and began building what is now a National Realtor network who services leads and his investor network. It quickly grew around the Midwest as it was one of the first Realtor companies to grasp the For Sale By Owner movement. By 2005, JKR Realty had opened branches in 7 states and 18 cities. In 2006 the company converted the majority of its branches into Affiliates and began expansion of the network which has representatives in over 300 cities today.
In October 2007, Merida Marketing Co Inc launched the new website, SellMyHouse.com. Currently, the website is one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the country and manages a national FSBO, Realtor, and Investor network. As one of the first real web 3.0 companies, SellMyHouse.com operates a customer service call center, helping our visitors with advice in all areas of the real estate industry. SellMyHouse.com has partnership agreements with some of the most well known marketing companies in the real estate industry.
Jason is also a nationally recognized author who has written articles for many news organizations within the real estate industry. He is also registered as an Investment Advisor with the SEC and state of Illinois. He consults with some of the country’s largest investment organizations, banks, and real estate marketing companies. Jason is the host of an Annual Real Estate Summit in February offered to our Realtor, Investor, and Mentor partners.

Jason, and his wife Jennifer who is an active participate in his real estate businesses, have 3 children.
